Mr. Simon W. Johnson
Non-Executive Director (Chairman)
Simon W. Johnson is an energy executive and entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics & Finance) from Curtin University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Mr. Johnson has worked internationally in Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America over the past 25 years for a variety of NYSE listed companies serving in a variety of commercially focused roles and as a CEO. Over the course of his career he has developed a deep network across industry and international capital markets. Most recently he co-founded a boutique consulting firm which is playing an important role in the equitization events in the oil service company space providing advice to senior management teams, debt holders and shareholder.
Mr. Johnson has a demonstrated strength in strategy development and promulgation and in executing complex and innovative deals. Mr. Johnson has many years of exposure to Board of Director engagements and associated corporate governance issues.
Mr. Sam Jarvis
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Jarvis graduated with Honours in Engineering in 1995 and also holds a degree in Economics with a Finance Major. He was educated in South Australia. For the past 15 years, he has held senior roles with leading global oil & gas drilling companies. He has extensive experience in commercial management & development drilling with expertise in the upstream oil & gas value chain.
Mr. Stuart Middleton
Non-Executive Director appointed 15 April 2015. Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Middleton has extensive resources experience in as the Group Executive for TDS Banpu Plc, Asian Energy Company (coal, oil, gas and pawer) with assignments in China, Mongolia, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand. He has also worked in the USA, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand. During his time in China, he was extensively involved in conventional and unconventional oil & gas drilling for CBM and oil/gas and has held advisory roles to both government and a major Asian Energy group relating to Asian American Gas Company on complex drilling operations.
Mr. Middleton was General Manager of the Baal Bone operation in Lithgow, Australia and served on the Oakbridge board in Sydney and the Queensland North Goonyella Pty. Ltd board in Mackay amongst other numerous board positions. He has extensive research as a chartered professional engineer and Registered Mine Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and a Master’s Commerce degree with double majors in Finance and Technology Management from The University of Sydney.
Mr. Christian Paech
Non-Executive Director
Based in Adelaide, Mr. Paech has considerable oil and gas industry and related legal experience, having been a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Santos Limited where he held the position of General Counsel for approximately ten years. Prior to joining Santos, Mr. Paech specialised in M&A and securities law in private practise, including roles with Ashurst in the United Kingdom and Herbert Smith Freehills in Melbourne. He is well versed in corporate governance, risk management and commercial matters as they relate to hydrocarbon exploitation across multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Paech holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Commerce and Laws (Hons.) from the University of Adelaide. He is actively engaged in commerce and is currently a non-executive director of ASX listed Barton Gold Holdings Limited.
